As President, Rena leads Transition Point’s work in strategic planning, business succession, continuity planning, and leadership development. She is recognized for her ability to translate complex concepts into practical, executable strategies that strengthen communication, improve operational performance, and prepare families for long‑term success. Her direct, honest, and highly relational approach has helped farms and agribusinesses across the U.S. build the systems, skills, and alignment needed to navigate growth and transition with confidence.
Rena is the creator of The DIRTT Project®, a signature framework designed to help families prepare for ownership transition by improving communication, clarifying expectations, and building leadership capacity. She is also a sought‑after keynote speaker known for her practical insights and often humorous take on the realities of leading and working within family enterprises.
Raised on a dairy and hog farm in What Cheer, Iowa, Rena brings lived agricultural experience to every engagement. She is a certified business coach and holds an MBA from the University of Iowa.
